Vermont Brewers Association Names New Leadership Team for 2024

The Vermont Brewers Association is gearing up for an exciting new year with the appointment of an Executive Director and the addition of three dynamic individuals to its Board of Directors. The decisions were made official during the association’s Board Meeting on December 12, 2023.

New Board Members Sworn In
The Vermont Brewers Association proudly welcomed three individuals to its Board of Directors during the recent meeting. These industry professionals bring a wealth of experience and passion for the brewing industry:

Sean Pagano, Switchback Brewing Company
Nina Hurley, Good Measure Pub & Brewery
Terry Thompson, Prohibition Pig

Election of New Executive Positions
In addition to the new board members, the association voted on executive positions to steer the organization in 2024.

President: Kara Pawlusiak, Simple Roots Brewing
Vice President: Bob Grim, Foam Brewers
Secretary: Heather Kraemer, Kraemer & Kin

Appointment of Executive Director
The VBA is pleased to announce the official appointment of Emma Arian as the new Executive Director.Hannah and Emma smiling Previously serving as the Interim Executive Director, Emma is excited to continue serving the VBA in this expanded capacity. As Interim Executive Director, Emma has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to the Vermont brewing community. Her experience and strategic vision align seamlessly with the goals of the VBA, making her an ideal candidate for this role. The VBA Board of Directors looks forward to working closely with Emma in her capacity as the Executive Director.

Emma Arian, along with Marketing and Membership Manager, Hannah Goldman is looking forward to a successful and collaborative year with the 2024 Board of Directors. Together, they aim to build on past achievements and focus on the four key pillars of the VBA: Community (Member Relations), Education (Tech & Ed), Governance (Legislative), and Marketing (advocacy).
