To initiate the application process, please complete the following steps by email:
- Attach your copy of the Brewers Notice issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau
- Attach a copy of your Vermont License to Manufacture Malt Beverages issued by the Vermont Department of Liquor Control
- Prepare a letter of introduction that requests consideration for membership and includes the location of the brewery, system size and projected volume of production as well as the business model (brewpub, taproom, package, distribution)
- Attach a signed copy of the Brewers Association’s Code of Conduct adopted August 8, 2020
Once these steps are completed, send all of the relevant documentation to our Executive Director, Emma Arian, and arrange for a site visit with her and/or a member of the Board of Directors.
Following the site visit, the Board of Directors will review the documents and conduct a vote to admit the new member. This decision will be made either at the next Board meeting or through email correspondence.
Once this review is done and your brewery has been accepted, you will receive a confirmation email.
