Kingdom Brewing Makes the Switch to 100% Solar Power

This Earth Day, Kingdom Brewing LLC is raising a glass to sustainability and a major milestone in its brewing operations. The Northeast Kingdom brewery has officially transitioned to 100% solar power, marking a significant step forward in its commitment to environmental responsibility.

The switch, completed in late fall 2025, was made possible through partnerships with Belknap Electric LLC and SRsolarNH. Together, the teams helped bring a fully solar-powered system online, allowing the brewery to operate with renewable energy at its core.

To celebrate Earth Day week and this transition, Kingdom Brewing brewed a batch of Round Barn Red, a longtime staple with deep roots in the brewery’s history. The release serves as both a nod to tradition and a symbol of forward-thinking practices that are shaping the future of Vermont craft brewing.

Sustainability efforts at Kingdom Brewing don’t stop there. Looking ahead, the brewery plans to install two Level 2 electric vehicle chargers this summer, further supporting clean energy use and accessibility for visitors traveling with electric vehicles.

As more Vermont breweries explore ways to reduce their environmental impact, Kingdom Brewing’s move to solar highlights what’s possible when innovation and community partnerships come together. It’s a meaningful investment not only in their own operations, but in the long-term health of the region and the craft brewing industry as a whole.
