30th VBA Anniversary Beer Collaboration

The Vermont Brewers Association is turning 30!

To celebrate the 30th anniversary, the Vermont Brewers Association is launching a statewide collaboration beer fundraiser. The goal of this collaboration is to give participating brewers the flexibility to create a beer that best suits their brand and customers, while still tying into the larger collaborative spirit of the VBA and raising money for the VBA. Each brewery can select the style they want to brew using one of the custom hop blends created for this milestone year and has access to discounted materials from several of our Allied Partners. We hope to launch this beer July 17th, the Thursday before the Vermont Brewers Festival and are excited to celebrate the VBA with our membership and craft beer enthusiasts!

How to Participate:

  1. Decide if you want to do a collaboration beer with another brewery or breweries. It is not necessary to do a joint beer, but it does add to the fun!
  2. Create your recipe(s) with the VBA ale hop blend and/or VBA lager hop blend and incorporate any of the discounted ingredients from CMG or RahrBSG.
  3. Fill out the form to participate, this form will help guide the VBA in our marketing efforts.
  4. If you plan on distributing or canning the beer, use the label templates created (updated to include your brewery’s logo, branding, and information). We have created customizable labels, you do not have to use the full label design, all we ask is that you include the 30 hop design, the explanation panel with the VBA logo, and the Vermont 30th Anniversary Beer name. Reach out to Amherst Label for 50% off your labels.
  5. Donate a $1 per 4-pack and/or $1 per 16oz daft pours to the VBA.
  6. If you have any questions, please reach out to Emma.

Some VBA History…

The Vermont Brewers Association was founded in 1995 by Greg Noonan to promote and strengthen the culture of craft brewing in Vermont through marketing, education and advocacy for Vermont made beer.

In the craft brewing industry, few people are as well known as Greg Noonan who made significant contributions to the art of brewing and played a major role in shaping the landscape of Vermont’s beer culture. One of his notable accomplishments is opening Vermont’s first brewpub in Burlington, The Vermont Pub & Brewery in 1988. Breaking a 94 year old drought, Burlington had it’s first brewery since prohibition.
