In 2014 co-owner and brew master Dan Fitzgerald, who has been brewing beer for nearly 10 years, invited his brother David to an all grains brewing class. After attending the class the pair would get together a few times a month to make beer, cook food, and reminisce about their youth growing up on the historic Mill River in Georgia, VT. Friends and family would congregate to sample their batches of beer and enjoy home cooked food. The response to their passion for brewing and cooking along with their ever-welcoming sense of community was bigger than they expected. Feeling they needed a bigger platform led them to create Mill River Brewing BBQ & Smokehouse!
