The Vermont Brewers Association takes pride in its commitment to four essential pillars: education, community, governance, and marketing. As a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization, we are dedicated to actively engaging and promoting members across Vermont’s craft beer community, helping advance our vision for Vermont as the premier state for craft beer. We extend a warm invitation to Vermont-based retail and craft beer bar businesses to join our association, and we look forward to collaborating with you to strengthen connections between breweries, retailers, and beer lovers throughout the state.
Costs & Eligibility
Eligibility: Craft beer bars, restaurants, bottle shops, and homebrew stores. Any company holding a class 1, 2, or 3 license to sell beer in Vermont with a strong focus on Vermont craft beer. Membership is per physical address. Note: This is a non-voting membership.
Costs: $250/year, billed annually
How to Apply for VBA Retail & Craft Beer Bar Membership
Are you a Vermont Craft beer bar, restaurant, bottle shop, or homebrew store looking to become a member?
To initiate the process, please complete the following steps by email:
- Attach a copy of your class 1, 2, or 3 VT License issued by the VT Department of Liquor & Lottery
- Attach a signed copy of the Brewers Association’s Code of Conduct
- In your email application, prepare a brief letter about your business and include the location(s) you wish to be a part of the VBA.

Once the application has been received, the VBA Board of Directors will conduct a vote to admit your business. Once the review is done and your business has been accepted, you will receive a confirmation email with next steps.

- Partnership: Connection opportunities with breweries for collaboration beers, tap takeovers, and promotions
- Governance: No voting privileges. Can be on any committee except the Government Affairs Committee.
